State Securities staff help raise £10,000 for local children’s charities in ‘It’s a Knockout’ tournament

Friday, 26 September 2008: On Saturday 30th August a team of ten staff from State Securities, one of the UK’s leading asset finance companies, battled against eleven other teams in an ‘It’s a Knockout’ tournament at Wickham Vineyards in Hampshire. The day was organised by Naomi House Children’s Hospice and local radio station Ocean FM’s Help A Local Child charity. As the sun shone, the State Securities team, ‘What a State’, took part in a variety of challenging games including carrying a ball through an inflatable tunnel and then throwing it in a net, all the while being on a bouncy castle. (The team claimed it was harder than it looked !) Another game included the team being dragged backwards along a water-drenched mat to fill a child’s Wellington boot up with water and then running back to the other end to empty it into a bucket ! The team had tremendous fun but sadly missed out on competing in the Final by one point. The day was hailed a great success by all who took part and raised over £10,000 for the charities.
